EDM for Flight-Critical Components

Aerospace requires tolerances that eliminate most machining options. When your drawing calls for ±0.001" or tighter on titanium or Inconel — materials that defeat conventional tooling at hardened state — EDM is the process. No cutting force means no deflection in thin walls, no heat-affected zone in stress-sensitive alloys, no chatter in deep slots or narrow pockets. The geometry you program is the geometry you get.

Materials Aerospace Teams Bring to Us

We machine titanium alloys (Ti-6Al-4V, Ti-6Al-2Sn-4Zr-2Mo), Inconel 625 and 718, 17-4 PH and 15-5 PH stainless, A286, Waspaloy, hardened tool steels, and carbide. These are the alloys aerospace uses precisely because they resist conventional machining — and that’s exactly where EDM performs best. Hardness is irrelevant to the process.

First-Article and Long-Term Production Programs

Whether you’re qualifying a new part or running a recurring production program, our process is production-intent from the start. We document setups, retain programs and fixtures, and deliver first-article inspection reports with every initial lot. Long-term production partnerships — including blanket orders and kanban schedules — are available for aerospace suppliers with recurring EDM requirements.
